A man (probably a band member) is partially obscured behind Durrett, and his orchestra (all white men) is seated in rows with instruments behind stands to the right. In the back row: three trumpets. In the middle row: drums, two trombones. Front row: tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, two baritone saxophones. A clarinet and additional saxophone are next to the baritone saxophonist on the right. Behind the band is a large curtain and a banner hanging that reads: "Warren Durrett Orchestra."
