Putting a leaf in the table is a group effort

Image
Description
Five unidentified African American women sit and stand around a dining room table putting a leaf in the center of the table. The woman farthest on the right side of the photograph turns her head to look at the camera with an unsupported cigarette in her mouth as her hands are moving to pull the edge of the table toward her. The next woman to the left also holds a cigarette just in her mouth as she holds two plates of food; one in each hand. She looks back and down at a woman sitting at the table motion toward the leaf with one hand as she holds a drinking glass in her other hand. A woman bends over the table putting in the leaf. The woman farthest to the left side of the photograph stands at the other end of the table to help pull it open for the leaf. A china cabinet is against the wall behind the table.
