Incarnation of the Statesmen of Jazz stand on stage preparing to perform

Image
Description
An incarnation of the Statesmen of Jazz stand on stage getting ready to perform. Only Joe Wilder's head, hands, and horn are visible on the left side of the photograph as he holds his flugelhorn in front of him and enters the stage. Sitting at the back of the stage leaning his double bass back in his lap is Earl May. Standing at the microphones at the front of the stage are Benny Powell, holding his trombone and grinning as he looks down, possibly Oliver Todd holding his trumpet waste high and looking down seriously, and a saxophone player whose face is obscured by the third microphone on the right side of the photograph. Benny Powell stands in front of a drummer sitting at a drum set.
