Description
Helen Cole, an African American musician, grins at the photographer as she sits behind a drum set and crosses her hands to play. Her shadow is on the wall in the spotlight of light around her. She wears earrings, a floral print blouse under a solid suit jacket. The bass drum head has a patch in the center. A printed signature on the bottom left says, "Bloom Chicago."
