Two women at the Jockey Club

Image
Description
Two unidentified smiling African American women and other African American men and women on Thanksgiving inside the Jockey Club, 10th and Paseo, Kansas City, Missouri. The woman to the left is holding a cigarette in her left hand as she wears a white tall hat with a large brooch in the center top, a corsage on her left shoulder, a dark, short-sleeved, mid-length dress and dark sleeves that come above her elbows, and open-toed heels with ankle straps. She holds a cigarette in her left hand. The woman to the right, possibly Louise, wears a small disk-shaped hat with two feathers curled to be attached, a three-strand pearl necklace, a large corsage on her left shoulder, a pressed-silk button-down blouse over a matching pressed silk skirt, open-toed heels with ankle straps. Two laughing men holding drinks are behind the ladies' right shoulders. Another man mostly out of the photograph is seated to their left.
