Diners smile at the photographer

Image
Description
An unidentified group of three African American men and two African American women smile as they share a meal inside an unidentified diner. Two of the men sit on either side of a woman on the left side of the photograph. The woman and the man to her left hold cigarettes in their right hands. At the end of the "U"-shaped counter another woman sits with a man leaning over her left shoulder to smile at the photographer. He wears an envelope-style hat. There are drinking glasses, dishes, and condiment holders on the counter. The photograph is taken through two large elephant ear leaves that match the wall painting behind the patrons of a bird cage in among elephant ear plants and palms.
