Image
Description
A group of workers have their backs to the photographer as they watch a crane get ready to support the Rockefeller Center's 1953 choice for a Christmas tree, a Norway spruce near Morristown, New Jersey, before being cut down. A car is parked directly behind the tree of choice.
Note
Handwritten on back"#3 A crane with an 80-foot boom is moved into position and two cables attached to the trunk to hold the 5-ton tree upright when cutting operations begin.
