Ted Malone greets a crowd at the Joaquin Miller home

Ted Malone stands inside the home of Joaquin Miller in Oakland, California for a broadcast with a window to his back and talking to a large and crowded group of mostly white women standing facing Ted with their backs to the photographer. A ceiling beam is decorated with eucalyptus leaves on a string. A lamp with a lacy shade hangs from the beam.
