Description
The plaza in front of Palais Garnier [Opéra Garnier; Opéra de Paris], the opera house in Paris, France , is full of people walking in all directions, and horse-drawn carriages, and even a double-decker, horse-drawn bus. A streetlamp sits on a pad in the center of the road in front of the left side of the opera house. A man walking on the plaza on the right side of the photograph carries an orchard ladder. The opera house is in the center back of the photograph. Matching buildings stand on the left and right sides of the photograph. Printed in white ink on the bottom right-hand corner of the photograph, "105, Paris _ Opéra."
