Cattle graze on the shore of a waterside pasture in an unidentified location within the Lake District, England. A skiff sits in the water just at the shore on the right side of the photograph. In the background across the back top of the photograph are homes and farms at the base of a mountain range. Embossed on the bottom right-hand corner, "Pettitt's Series -o- Keswick."
