A panoramic view of Ullswater (lake) and environs in the Lake District of England, from the perspective of a bank of the river across the lake to a forested mountain range on the other side of the lake. Two outcrops into the lake and one island are on the left center of the photograph. Printed below the lower left-hand corner of the photograph in the margin, "Herbert Bell, Ambleside." Printed on the center margin below the photograph, "Ullswater." Printed on the bottom left-hand corner of the margin, "Printed in Switzerland."
