Panorama of the village of Ambleside in the Lake District of England nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains. Some divided lands for farm surround the village. The tallest structure is a church tower in the center of the photograph. Printed below the lower left-hand corner of the photograph in the margin, "Herbert Bell, Ambleside." Printed on the center margin below the photograph, "Ambleside." Printed on the bottom left-hand corner of the margin, "Printed in Switzerland."
