A giant bamboo grove stands along a riverbank in Sri Lanka [then Ceylon]. A man stands between the grove and the river facing the river. Printed in white in the bottom left-hand corner, "Dendrocalamus Giganteus. (Giant Bamboo). 114. C. A. Co. Ceylon."
