Description
Large crowd (two African American men, the rest white women and men) gathered for the new hospital building's groundbreaking ceremony. Lined up with shovels in hand are (left to right) Mario Pagano, Alice Walker, Margaret Weaver, Dr. Ned Smull, Mrs. Hoover, and the rest remaining unidentified. They've each already dug a small hole in front of them.
