White girl wearing a dress with a Mercy Hospital Silver Day sash and a nurse's cap. She is outside by some bushes and holding a large doll in her arms.

Handwritten note on verso: [Patient name] born 1901 died 1913 ruptured appendix daughter of Dr. & Mrs. George E. Bellows -- 3900 block Euclid (Linwood & Euclid) cap appears to be like one used by CMH nurses school (minus hair ribbon) - Early name of hospital did not include word children's- I believe adopted on move to 1710 building "(Non sectaria)" on sign on dress -- I believe "Silver Day" probably was for raising money of 1710- moved there in 1917 -- Carol Belt, CMH Archivist. Gelatin silver print.
